Free Anti-Virus for All Actrix Customers!

For the past year or more, Actrix has offered a paid anti-Virus service
named CyberScan which has been enjoyed by several thousand customers.

However, recently we have become extremely concerned by the number of new
viruses spreading across the Internet and their growing complexity and
potential to harm. As our contribution to helping users of the Internet
and especially our own customers, we believe that a free virus scanning
process for all customers has become essential to help in the fight against
their spread.

We are pleased to announce that as of today, the Actrix CyberScan
anti-virus service is now free and is already being extended to all
customers. There is no need to sign-up or to make any changes to your
settings. All incoming e-mail for all customers (main accounts and
mailboxes) will now be filtered to remove viruses.

We understand that some customers have recently paid for our CyberScan
service. Over the next couple of weeks we will be issuing credit refunds to
all customers on the CyberScan Monthly, CyberScan 6-Monthly, Security Suite
Monthly and Security Suite 6-Monthly rates. The refund crediting process is
detailed at the conclusion of this letter and pertains only to customers
who are currently being invoiced for CyberScan or Security Suite services.

While we believe CyberScan will play an important role as the first line of
defence, we ask you, the customer, to remain careful and vigilant, and to
note the following:

CyberScan is able to detect known viruses only. Actrix does not and cannot
guarantee that all e-mail viruses will be detected and/or removed. Nor will
it be liable for any damages that might occur should a virus slip through
our scanners undetected.

A virus within an e-mail attachment may not be detected for a number of
reasons including that the virus is sufficiently new or unknown and
therefore its definition has not been made available to Actrix, or that the
attachment is encrypted. Also, CyberScan is only resident on Actrix mail
servers, it cannot protect you from viruses sent to e-mail addresses you
may have that are provided to you by other ISPs or via services such as
Hotmail. CyberScan is also unable to protect you from viruses in files you
download from the Internet yourself.

To ensure you are protected from viruses that CyberScan is not able to
detect or delete or which may reach you via other means (e.g. floppy
disks), we strongly recommend that you continue to run up-to-date
anti-virus software on your computer. Please also remain cautious when
clicking attachments.

Lastly, the free CyberScan anti-Virus system is not available with e-mail
addresses provided through our Personalised E-mail Address service.

We are confident that customers will find the introduction of free virus

The Refund Crediting Process:

Customers who were issued an invoice for CyberScan Monthly in April will
have this invoice refunded (as credit) in full. These customers will no
longer be invoiced for CyberScan.

Customers who were issued an invoice for CyberScan 6-Monthly in the last
six months will be given a credit refund which will reimburse for the
months from April onwards in their payment. For example, if a 6 month
invoice was made in February (being for the CyberScan service for March
2004 through to August 2004), only March will need to be paid for. A credit
for the months April - August will be given. These customers will no longer
be invoiced for CyberScan.

Customers who were issued an invoice for Security Suite Monthly in April
will have the CyberScan portion of this invoice refunded as credit. These
customers will continue to be billed for CyberFilter (anti-Spam) services
only.

Customers who were issued an invoice for Security Suite 6-Monthly in the
last six months will be given a credit refund which will reimburse for the
CyberScan portion of that invoice for the months from April onwards in
their payment. For example, if a 6 month invoice was made in February, only
March will need to be paid for in full. A credit for the CyberScan portion
of the invoice for the months April - August will be given. These customers
will continue to be billed for CyberFilter (anti-Spam) services only.

Please note that refunds will be issued as an account credit only. There
will be no cash refunds.
